About

I am Jeshurun and this is my photo blog. Before this site came into the picture, a lot of ideas came to me, and a lot of pages in my notes bearing a sketch layout, until this; Ang Dabawenyong Maniniyot.

Dabawenyong Maniniyot, simply of my roots being from Davao City, Philippines, being a photographer, and the whole Cebuano, Bisaya (or whatever language that is) as my being one. I started photography way back since 2003, a highschool student, tied with a “PRESS” ID around my neck! Ah! Yes! I was a photojournalist at that time. Until after 5 (yes 5, as in “five”) long years, that I get to hold my DSLR gear that I can call my very own.

Now, let me share to you my journey as a freelance and casual photographer. Searching for wonderful sights and views, framing subjects by squaring up my fingers. With this photoblog-partly-portfolio, I aim to be an advocate of values and culture, sharing whatever it is that every photo speaks. Feel free to look around this photo blog. Drop comments on my works or send me advices and tips. I’d be happy to hear out from you.

I’m glad to have WordPress powering up this photo blog, theme and design handicrafted with PHP and JQuery by me, yours trully, while shivering due to the cold autumn air, heated up while sipping a delicious Japanese instant cup noodles. Also thanks to Bill Labus of Vectortuts+ for his detailed tutorial of the vector camera lens on my banner and Ian Stewart for his informative tutorial to make my site layout design come to life. And more special thanks to Flickr for their free service of hosting my public photostream. Enjoy! ^^
